US History Best teacher

The best teacher in my life time so far is my mom and brother because they push me to work hard to be successful in school and outside of school. The reason that I try hard is because my mom motivates me by calling me names, she tells me to stop acting like I’m stupid, are you retarded, or just dumb. I try hard to prove that I can be smart when she says that to me. My mom is a big influence on me because if I need help with something she and my older brother are usually there to help me. They give me advice. They force me to realize that I can do well in school and in life. If it wasn’t for my mom I would not be in WJPS because she was doubtful about me going to this school. She thought that I would not apply myself. I now have the whole school year to prove to myself that I have what it takes to succeed. My mom always talks to me and advises me to stay away from gangs, or not to do drugs, to be mindful of the company I keep and most importantly to stay focus with school. My brother teaches me to try my hardest at everything. He pushes me to do better in school by telling me that he is always going to get better grades then me which motivates me to try to get better grades then his. So for me I see it as a challenge between school grades, my brother, and myself. My mom knows that I can slack off in homework so when I get home if she sees me start to slack she yells at me saying do your homework and stop slacking or your going to fail and end up having to go to summer school! Also if she has like a family trip planned she’ll say things like if you fail were leaving you so you can learn the consequences of slacking off in school. My brother helps in homework in a way because he doesn’t give me the answer he helps me to understand what I was doing wrong, Then he tests me by asking me to do another problem like it to see if I’m paying attention or just trying to get some answers. For me thus far, these are my best teachers that continue to help me challenge myself in every aspect of my life.
